Mahatma Gandhi holds the highest position in Indian history. He is hailed as the ‘Father of the Nation’ and is the face of the Indian currency notes. Not for nothing is he celebrated in this regard; his exploits against the British helped India win her independence at the stroke of the midnight hour of 15th of August, 1947. Free India was born thanks to many but mainly because of the Mahatma’s ‘never-say-die’ attitude.
